Preparation for Child birth
« on: February 06, 2009, 01:59:04 am »
One reason my wife thought of the idea of fisting would great is the idea that she'd have a easier time during child birth.  Has anyone had a easier time due to taking a fist often?

Well I seem to remember that one of our lady members did say that fisting helped with her first birth. It might have been on the old forum though.
I also seem to remember it being suggested that vaginal fisting would be an ideal prenatal exercise.
Again I can't remember who or when though.
Maybe some of our lady members can help.

Regards

hi there
a lot od Dulars (not sure the correct spelling) stretch to the knuckles with their clients
remember if you are stretching for birthing purposes go very slow and gentle
stretching down toward the anus is more benificial than up or sideways
if in doubt ask your midwife, she will NOT be as shocked as you might imagine
also use the 'search' on this forum for additional information including vids of pregnant women being fisted
I am like a slinky, basically good for nothing, but I can still bring a smile to someone's face when they push me down a flight of stairs

finding a Doula would be a good idea, and they would probably be able to help you more with this.

i think it is pretty clear that fisting would help in childbirth. the reason this hasn't been studied scientifically is due to two problems: the taboos on fisting and on sexuality in general in our society, and also the medicalization of childbirth, making it more doctor-oriented than woman- and mother- oriented.

i do know that tearing of skin because it is stretched to levels it can't stretch to is one of the problems in childbirth...and obviously if the skin in your vagina has been stretched naturally and comfortably to this level and beyond, through fisting, it's common sense that this is going to lower the risk of these sorts of injuries.

i would imagine that there would be other ways that fisting could help with childbirth too.  i think the first one would be to get the woman more comfortable with the sensation of having a very large object in her vagina...it would just be more familiar and less of a scary and intimidating experience.  also women often have much more powerful orgasms when they are being fisted--and these orgasms work out many of the same muscles used in childbirth.

there's a lot more to childbirth than passing through the vaginal opening.  but i imagine that there are certain aspects of the childbirth process that would be greatly eased by having extensive experience with fisting.

if there are any doctors or medical researchers watching on this board--PLEASE do some research on this.  this would be a great topic to study!!!
